Get Out of the Jail Created by Limiting Beliefs | Wisdom a la Carte Blog: "Are you in jail, like these orchids?
What do you see here? Are the orchids bursting out of their jail-like window, free at last? Or are they held back by the bars, unable to experience anything more than a fleeting and superficial freedom?

In fact this whole image is an illusion. It was constructed from two separate photos: one of the orchids I found in a hotel lobby, and the other of a street level window along an interesting graffiti–filled lane I visited one day"

An Ominous Turn in Elite Opinion « Commentary Magazine

An Ominous Turn in Elite Opinion « Commentary Magazine: "In a series of op-ed columns published in February and March, and at an appearance at a Los Angeles synagogue during which he was confronted by Iranian exiles, Cohen’s determination to debunk what he sees as the distorted reputation of the Islamic Republic was undaunted by outrage from Jews and other observers more mindful of Tehran’s record of tyranny at home and support for terrorism abroad. Though he acknowledged that Iran was an “unfree society,” Cohen believes confrontation with it—even over its drive to acquire nuclear weapons—is not merely misguided but wrong."

Editors Note: Look at this one award winning journalist constantly attacking another journalist (and a NYT Op-Ed) journalist at that! A bloggers delight!

Rutherford synagogue wants to erect an eruv along utility polls - NorthJersey.com

Rutherford synagogue wants to erect an eruv along utility polls - NorthJersey.com: "A rabbi in Rutherford wants to enclose nearly the entire town inside a ritual fence called an eruv. But don't worry; chances are you've been in one before and never knew it.

An eruv is a symbolic fence that encloses an area in order to allow Orthodox Jews who live within the enclosure to perform basic tasks outside their homes on the Sabbath. Rabbi Nosson Schuman, who took over as the head of Congregation Beth El on Montross Avenue earlier this year, has requested the council allow the synagogue to use the town's telephone polls to mark the border."
